Lock, Stock and Two Smokin' Bastiches

It's either a match made in hell or a marrage made in a very violent heaven. Apparently Ruy Richie has been signed to direct a feature film based on 90's comic violence icon Lobo, according to Variety. Lobo is a space motor cycle riding boundy hunter who is nigh-industructable and once upon a time could create copies of himself by bleeding. The only thing he loves more then ultra-violence are a pack of space dolphines and screwing with Superman when he gets the chance. Don Payne wrote the script and production is set to begin in 2010. Looks like DC is trying to catch up to Marvel on comic movie properties, let's hope for the best.
