Return of Twisted Metal
Turns out that David Jaffe is working on a Twisted Metal game. He and studio Eat Sleep Play are building something of a return to form for the long-running franchise, as revealed at Sony's E3 2010 media briefing. Twisted Metal will feature the usual car combat and seriously bent characters such as the disgusting clown Sweet Tooth and Calypso. Inside this dark wrapper, you'll be controlling over a dozen cars armed with weapons like rocket launchers, giant magnets, and even "flying mascots." You'll also be able to change environmental layouts via destruction. The game's campaign will feel familiar for those who bothered with the franchise in some shape or form. Evil man Calypso is the host of a twisted tournament that will pit you, tiered-style, against bent opponents across an array of arena maps.
