Summit Entertainment has hired screenwriters Erich and Jon Hoeber to write the script for a sequel to Red, the action/comedy film which starred Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, and John Malkovich as former CIA agents, who are classified as “Retired, Extremely Dangerous.” Red, which was based on the comic book series written by Warren Ellis, illustrated by Cully Hammer and published by DC/Wildstorm, earned over $90 million at the North American box office and over $165 million worldwide.
