Gerry Anderson passed away at the age of 83 on 12/26/2012, after suffering from Alzheimer's since 2010. The disease had worsened in recent months according to his son. He was the creator of such shows as Thunderbirds, the Mysterons, Captain Scarlet, UFO, Space: 1999, Supercar and Fireball XL5.
