It's Alive!!! |
Disney might not have a director yet, but it is sure lining up writers for their plan making of the Star Wars sequels. According to Hollywood trades Lawrence Kasden, writer/screenwriter of Silverado, Return of the Jedi, and Mumford, and Simon Kinberg, who wrote the first big budget Sherlock Holmes film, X-Men the Last Stand, Mr & Mrs Smith and the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future past, have both been hired to write the eigth and ninth sequels to the Star War saga. Reports are also saying that they will be producing the two films as well. Say what you will about Disney buying Lucasfilms, but the addition of two veteran writers of geek fair seems to be a step in the right direction for where things are going. More news on this as it comes in.
